At Echo Ridge Stables fun and safety come first. In lessons, students experience the joys and satisfaction of working with horses through mutual respect, patience and trust. Students begin by learning the basic principles of working safely with and around horses on the ground, as well as riding both in an arena and on the trail.
While most lessons focus on riding for pleasure, students are encouraged to complete their Equine Canada Rider Levels. A rider's "level" is determined by skills outlined in the LONG-TERM EQUESTRIAN DEVELOPMENT (LTED) program (see poster for details). Students interested in progressing to competition level in a specific discipline, can be referred to a qualified and certified Competition Coach Specialists colleague once they progress through the development stream and their interests become more specific.
Students can use school horses (in either private or semi-private lessons) or arrange to take lessons with their own horses (on property rates are the same). Will also travel to other locations. Mileage is an additional charge.
* Show transportation and coaching available upon request. Will also travel for coaching for an additional fee.
